For simple malocclusions some
individuals may be able to choose Invisalign. While not a robust treatment
option, Invisalign can, in specific situations, be used to correct simple tooth alignment
problems. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten
your teeth without metal wires or brackets. It has been proven effective in
clincial research and in orthodontic practices nationwide. Schedule an initial consultation with one of our doctors today. We can determine whether Invisalign is right for your case. Call us at 513-777-7060 for an appointment. We have two locations in the Cincinnati area.
How Does Invisalign Work?
You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist has prescribed. You’ll visit your orthodontist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of
aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
How Are Aligners Made?
You’d Be Amazed… The aligners are made through a combination of your orthodontist’s expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.
1. An
Invisalign-certified practitioner takes records of the patient, including PVS impressions, intra and extra-oral photos and x-rays. The records are sent
to Align Technology with the desired treatment goals.
